Episode 3: It’s The Fifties

This is the last podcast in which we will discuss Indiana Jones — we swear. It’s a quick one this week as we hurry back from a viewing of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Long Long Movie Titles to record our reactions with longtime watcher of every movie in history, Joe Reid of Low Resolution.

We also take a little time to discuss some of the seven trailers they showed (including one trailer twice, WTF?) and the world of edited-for-television movies.

Pictured below: Glark will not sit with Tara because her sighs and tsks tsks of judgement will annoy him (with popcorn for scale!).

David T. Cole (a.k.a. Glark) runs a bunch of websites including Glark Industries, Glarkware, Videogamey, Who In The What Now and Dewey Donation System. When you talk to him and he stares off into space and ignores you it is because he's thinking of either videogames he wants to play, Hawaii or dog ownership.

Caught up on all three last night and am delighted to be able to spend a little time with you. Although I like the two of you and the dynamic between you, I love the additional contributors and hope that you figure out including the NY gang when you’ve gone on to SF. I don’t know how much delivery will happen, but the restaurants…oh the restaurants. And the weather/fog/sun/cool/no bugs/no pollen (until you cross the bridge). I am envious, especially since we don’t get winter here any more anyway.

Looking forward to hearing about your transition to Californians. I’m assuming, Tara, that you won’t become excessively Zen.

Oh, and Tara, the love of Indy was not a boy thing at the time. If you were a teen-ager (early 20s) the love of Harrison Ford overcame all the boy-attractive adventure. Indy was dreamy.

In fact I DO have long-distance podcastin’ all figured out, no worries there (famous last words). The whole SF thing is changing — more on that soon (as in as soon as we wrap our head around it).
