Unlucky (?) Day 13 finds Dave and Tara making their way from California’s Bay Area to a town where luck is paramount: Las Vegas! Along the way, there is a minor confrontation with a hotel clerk; lot of smog; a little religion; some heavy metal-inspired sandwiches; a lot of yelling at Lou Dobbs; a bit of exciting news; and the promise of something explosive later. All this, and 24-hour room service, too. God bless this crazy town. PLUS! Bonus not-quite-original musical interludery.

First of all, Tara should get a second job cutting jingles because I really thought that was a professional jingle at first, and she sounds awesome. I see a self-recorded single a la Heidi Montag, except good. Or a parody.
Congrats on the visa! Glad to hear you get to stay in the country for a while. We (and I speak for all Americans here) enjoy having you.

I agree with Kim! 2 people who’ve listened to these podcasts with me have commented on how lovely Tara’s voice is. One even called it a “radio voice” and wondered when you got your own radio show!
Yay for the visa! I feel like I should go back to Target and get that cheeseball 4th of July Freedom Dogs shirt for you!
Yay for Leah and Olivia (I just love that name) getting clearance to go home! I wish them all lots of sleep and helping hands in the next few months.
Lastly, yay for Panera (hee - “Pantera Bread” is totally what I’m calling it from now on). That place is like a crack den to a baked-goods-lover like me. Their black bean soup is pretty awesome, too. Remind me to tell you about the time our local franchise ran out of bread. I can’t do it justice in print.
Can’t wait to hear about Vegas adventures!

Aw, you’re too kind. I have had a lot of car practice singing that one.

It’s true, though. You are a lady of many talents. But I really did especially enjoy that one. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go back to packing the rest of my glassware in the Christmas paper I don’t want to take along.

I feel like a stalker or something; I know you guys don’t know me but I have really been enjoying listening to the Atomic Tour. Re: Primm — Snoop Dogg just played there, and I’d venture to say that Snoop is even bigger in the current music scene than Ringo, so Terribles must have hired themselves one outstanding booking agent.
And yes — Primm’s main (only?) function is to serve those of us who can’t make it the extra 45 minutes to Las Vegas from LA and MUST GAMBLE NOW.
