Episode 9: Atomic Tour Day 5 - Stroke Bag

Day 5 of The Atomic Tour, and guess what we’ve learned? It’s possible to drive across Kansas in about fifteen minutes, if you hit it right; Iowa is super-flat and super-boring; they weren’t kidding about the flooding; we are apparently much more dirty-minded than business operators in several upstanding midwestern and prairie states; at least one local Mercedes driver has been SAVED; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota shuts down on Sundays. All this, plus a thrilling Char Case update and a review of one traveler’s luggage.

We would like to apologize to all stroke victims everywhere — not enough to not say horrible things but just enough to know it’s horrible. Yes, we know that we won’t find it funny once we have a stroke.

David T. Cole (a.k.a. Glark) runs a bunch of websites including Glark Industries, Glarkware, Videogamey, Who In The What Now and Dewey Donation System. When you talk to him and he stares off into space and ignores you it is because he's thinking of either videogames he wants to play, Hawaii or dog ownership.

    hee, “Mr. Lilac Vomit.”

I can’t wait to hear what you think of Deadwood. I know what *I* thought of it, but maybe it’s changed in the last 20 years.

So before I even listen to the podcast, I’m going to guess that you’re referring to a certain convenience store chain. Allison Arngrim (aka Nellie Oleson from LHOtP) performed in Sioux Falls last fall and mentioned the same thing. (Can you tell I’m thrilled that you guys are in SD? I’m really jealous of your Tour!)

Hee. Tara’s hysterical laughter kills me. It’s a good thing I don’t listen to these in public.

One question: would Katie Holmes star in your PSAs?

[Going straight to hell along with you.]

I think Tara is probably defensive about her bag (and all the times she has to pack) after Hawaii, when she had to pay an extra $60 for all the books (14) that she brought for a two week vacation. We all gave her a hard time for the number of books she had but also having to pay so much to bring them. Then she would read any possible second that she could so that it was kind of worth it. Since then, she always defends her packing abilities. Poor Stroke Bag.

Ah, the Kum & Go - known in college towns as “Ejaculate & Evacuate” or “Jizz & Jet”.

Lovely. Really paints a quaint small-town picture, doesn’t it?

More Char Case! Love, love, loving it. Really enjoying listening to you guys daily. Keep it kumming.

The podcasts are an absolute riot, but, unlike Maria, I’ve been listening to these at work, attracting alot of unwanted attention to my cubicle. Listened to three in a row yesterday and between Char Case, the ‘I love pizza!’ song and Stroke Bag, I just about ended up in the unemployment office. (heh)

    Me wants more!

Leah, the next time we’re in the same city, I’m going to bite you again.

I would say “bring it” but I’m not as quick as I usually am, and I would not have a chance. Unless I stomp on you with my giant feet.
